I think the most telling thing about Capcom's awful handling of this game's content is how the best bits that tie it all together are DLC and that many people just probably wrote this game off as nothing special at its debut
So why the 4,5/5? Because it doesnt Want to be super complex
I think Asura's Wrath as a game is a really simple game that you could just dog the fuck out of, much like Asura himself as a character. You could see both as mindless, not having much depth, genre anarchy that may mesh really weird.. and i love that because
it doesnt Want to be deep thinking
and have some kind of revelation he wants to come to.
You just need to beat tf outta whos in your way
Theyre both More than that. Asura's burning revenge story is simple because he doesnt Want anything more than freeing his daughter
he doesnt Want to think about his actions beyond what he needs to because that doesnt matter
Just like how there Could be exp, there could be combos to the gamehe shit out of anyone that gets in the way of you wanting to accomplish your goal.
Everything about Asura's design even reflects the strengths of the experience, there is beauty in its simplicity.
The art and 3d models are also clearly where all the budget went
I cant give this game a 5/5 purely on how some of my gripes with playing it hinder me from saying its a near flawless experience like other 5/5s ive given
A lot of boss fights with the gohma and sometimes other shit just kind of boil down to "Race to the QTE"
Now, ill defend this game till i die but I got so tired of being knocked the fuck back while Asura moves so slowwww (especially compared to Yasha) and just watching that Burst meter slowwwly crawl throughhh)
Also unrelated to my review but i think its really sad how only 7% of players on xbox actually fully beat the final stretch of the game due to it being stupid ass DLC
but im so fr when i say this shit is so hype
this shit is like an interactive anime
this shit is like playing a Good game adaptation of a OVA anime movie that doesnt even exist
