I PROBABLY shoulda played the ps2 version instead but i still like the stages and will always have a soft spot for soul eater
the controls themselves can be kind of dick and it's one of those fighting games where you cant look at a moveset list or nothin and instead will delegate tutorial things to the single player campaign thats clunkily conveying some events of what happens in the anime's story
I couldnt STAND that personally, and instead played a lot of the non-campaign related content and had a nice time with it for what it was
Im sure i wouldve enjoyed this a lot more if I had someone to play it with on the psp back in the day
if i had a psp
if it was localized properly
if Excalibur was there at base in the roster...
im also sad i really dont like playing as Crona in this game because I dont really like how they control and how they feel. I like their whole get-up counter spikes thing and their Ichigo ass swordwave being a super is hype.. TOO BAD It doesnt do that much damage :(
Also this game has a thing where you can charge your meter and i cant think of a worse game to have that shit in because often times its easy to interrupt and close the gap with your opponent
But that aside I actually think everyone plays pretty good and unique, everyone's got that synergy that i would expect from a soul eater game and surprisingly enough i found myself having the most fun with Stein and Sid really, Blair is kind of fun but i have trouble getting in with her probably bc again i didnt really have anyone to consistently play against LMAO

final thoughts: Stein has Paul's fucking punch from Tekken dude, Bamco fumblebee of the century
