I'm not entirely sure why this title is so hated, I had a blast with it! I played it via emulation on my PC with an off-brand PS4 controller and I still found it to control really well, the level designs honestly weren't bad in my opinion, sure there are death spikes but I grew up with Mega Man Classic and Mega Man X so that's par for the course as far as I'm concerned. The gameplay itself felt like a marriage between elements of Battle Network such as the chips, world, and enemies, and the X & Classic series. My only complaints honestly are that it's fairly short (which is too be expected for a game like this) and it's not as hard as either of the aforementioned platforming Mega Man series, but that said, I do think it's worth playing if you enjoy the Battle Network setting AND the gameplay of the platforming Mega Mans, I liked it.
