A great start to this often overlooked but much loved horror game series.
You are Jennifer, adopted with her friends by a wealthy recluse called Simon. Jennifer's friends go missing so it's up to you to solve the mystery.
The game lacks background music apart from a music score when a major event or scare is happening, the only sounds you'll hear are Jennifers lonely footsteps and other ambient sounds which make this game very atmospheric.
Danger can lurk from everywhere as you are on the edge of your seat wondering when the main villain "Scissorman" will make an appearance, but he is not the only danger lurking from behind the door as Jennifer will encounter other truly horrific beings.
This is a point and click style game so if this isn't your style I would say skip it, but at least give it a chance as you get used to the format very quickly.
The plot of the game is very engaging, the graphics are somewhat simple with a few jumpscares here and there.
There are many different endings you can get, so there is a bit of replay value here too.
This was my first time playing a Clock Tower game, and I enjoyed it, I look forward to playing the rest of the series.
