Possibly the most fun Yakuza, but with the most boring and hopelessly convoluted story. The story deeply benefits from playing the rest of the series, and the minigames and samey side stories lose some serious luster if you've enjoyed them before. So the heavy dose of "been there, done that" comes along with the fun.

Glad it exists, but the Yakuza exhaustion is strong if you've played others, and the game only really shines story-wise if you've played others. That Ichiban, though? Charming as hell.
