While impressive for the DS, the campaign really does just feels like a stripped-down version of a Metroid Prime game. The lack of upgrades aside from very specific beam types means that this game doesn't provide the same satisfaction from finding items as other Metroid games do. The bosses were also very tedious, given that there's only two bosses that you fight four times each, with only small changes each time. It's worth playing if you're interested, but otherwise you're not missing out on much.
