I've always been a fan of racing games and this is definitely the best one i've played yet. I feel like there's a perfect car for everyone in this and after almost 3 years i landed on the 1993 Skyline GTR. Doing my first playthrough while listening to eurobeat provided for some of the most fun i've had playing a game overall, and continuing to listen to eurobeat while sinking unreasonable amounts of time into learning how to drift and drive better made every second enjoyable. Love this game.

2016

Was put onto this because of Dunkey and I gotta say I was really surprised. Definitely the best bullet-hell I've played and hooked me in from the moment I fought the jailer. Poured an insane amount of time into every boss and can now beat the game in 40 minutes from sheer muscle memory. Not a game for the light earted, it WILL kick your ass but you just gotta keep going and eventually you'll get it. Still the best boss rush i'm ever gonna play an i'll be returning again and again.

I honestly don't even know where to start with this game. I could go on for hours and hours about every little thing that happens in the story, but i'll try and condense it. This game, much like its sequel, makes me forget that i'm playing a game.I become so involved in what's happening to the characters that they don't feel like characters, they feel like real people thanks to the increasingly encapsulating performances from not just Troy as Joel and Ashley as Ellie, but even the side characters such as Bill, Tess Marlene, Tommy, quite honestly everyone. I don't know what to say except everything comes together so perfectly and provides for probably the most genuine game I've ever played, and the ending practically destroyed me. I continue to fawn over every little thing about the world of TLOU and It stands proud as my #1 tied with GOW 2018. If you like Story driven games, you cannot go wrong with this.

This served as my introduction to the "God of war" franchise and even without the context of GOW 3, this game shoook me to my core. God of War remains one of the best videogames I have played, tied only with The Last of Us. I revisit it every year for another playthrough and every time I do it's like i'm playing it for the first time again. Both the weighty, satisfying feeling of combat (only ever even getting slightly stale on new game plus) and highly emotional storyline are masterfully presented, and combined with a deeper personal knowledge of what it took to make this game behind the scenes and the amount of human sacrifice required both for the mechanics and performances make this one of the most heartfelt and amazing games i've ever played and likely ever will play. Literally can't get enough of it.
