Cafu_101 finished Celeste
I have to admit that I have neglected my 2D platformers since New Super Mario Bros.

The first thing I can say is that I'm always a fan of when the story and gameplay merge.
Even if climbing a mountain is not a particularly original metaphor, I can appreciate it. But what I do like is that it tries to contextualize the difficulty of living with depression with the difficulty of the gameplay.
Celeste is a very challenging game, especially for me who has little experience in the genre. (100%ing this game is an impossibility for me.) Nevertheless, Celeste never feels unfair. One reason for this is the very short loading times. After each death, you can almost immediately start again in the same screen.
The assist mode that the developers have included here is commendable, so that everyone can experience this game completely. It's always nice when developers want to enable as many people as possible to play the game.
The story is... Fine. You've already heard it a couple of times. It's nothing new or exiting. Which doesn't make it bad. Stories like this are inherently very emotional and usually always touch my heart.
Glad I played it. And thanks for the hand cramps 👌🏾
