Perfect, in my opinion, the best game of the franchise so far. The original metroid prime was amazing, and this one improved what the original lack of, good graphics. If you have not played it, just do it.

It is a great remake of the original one (NES). They added a map feature, something that the original game did not have. This feature makes the game easier than the original but also improves the player experience (with the original you had to take notes and make maps by your own in a notebook). The only thing that I do not like of this game it are the puzzles you need to solve using the boosting features, some of them are way too complex. They demand you hit the joystick with certain especific patterns in specific time, which is very annoying because you had to try many times in order to get it done. Fortunetly the complex puzzles are totally optional and don't complete them only affects the percentage of items you get (which for me is not big deal because I am not a completer).

Honestly, it is a master piece for its time. The amount of playing mechanics the game introduced was amazing. The game always keeps you with the feeling there is a lot to discover. Also the boss fights are challenging so it is really important to give yourself time to explore and to find the upgrades, otherwise you do not have a chance to beat some bosses.

Some downsides, it still lacks from certain features that were introduced later in the saga, such as the color doors map system that would help you to know why you cannot enter in a certain zone. Also, the graphics could have been better (comparing with other SNES games e.g., Donkey Kong Country).

Overall great game, a great way to introduced yourself into the saga, if that is what you want.
