So, went back to do some grinding in FFXII got a little overconfident, because I was at Level 4 promptly went up against two Cockatrices and got my ass handed to me.

I forgot how much fun the Licence System was. Lets just say I've taken a few leaves out of my replays of Suikoden IV and applying them here because it's proving to be useful because of how I want this to work. Basically Vaan's playing healer/offence because Green/White Magik.

And replaying FFXII, not much of a secret but Reks deserved better. This Chapter is not going to be fun because hey this poor character hits the bucket. And what sucks is I know it's coming and I hate it. 🙃

At least because I'm pretty good at executing Linear finishing moves in DOD2, that skill has proven to be useful with the Bomb Glove in regards to throwing and hitting enemies.

And now back I go to the Promised Land and a not so pleasant rematch with the Bone Casket last encounter was back on New Years Eve (2023).

Should've continued with the Memory Card with the 6th Playthrough on it, could've had this boss battle down like clockwork but nope I got hyperfixated at getting 190,000 kills instead. And I'm hyperfixated on the Japanese version so it kind of went out the window.

So, on my latest round in the Courtyard of the Grand Shrine I've cottoned onto Ogres sometimes sliding across the map.

I love that the Japanese version, has unintentional bugs adds to the charm and its hilarious.

In other news broke DOD2 again, because I somehow glitch climbed up the wall, dragging a Knight Guard along too.

One thing I've noticed while replaying DOD2 in my 30s, is I am easily amused by getting Behemoths stuck in tight corridors.

May or may not have been mentally prepping for speed running Chapters 11 & 12.

Basically facing The Bone Casket is not a boss fight I enjoy, but I did make a save file of 6 playthroughs so I can beat it again like clockwork. Anyway I have to do it again on the Japanese version.

And the second to last Verse in Chapter 11, is Eris basically flies into a bunch of Arch-Dragons and has to get saved because she's a dumb-dumb.

In other news made a habit of seeing the hidden scene I found by accident 16 years ago. Every time I replay this game, because it keeps stomping on my feelings again.

And now onto Chapter 8 AKA the Chapter where Legna gets too cocky. And the Knights of the Seal rightfully hit his wing and he does a Beatrix Kiddo later.

Went into the Shadow Gismor Boss Battle expecting to use my healing items, turns out I didn't need them and it took me 2 minutes to beat him anyway.

And now to speedrun Chapter 7, cheese Gismor and Caim as well because I can.

Cheesing Caim will never not be my way of getting my own back, considering the amount of shit this boss battle gave me 16 years ago.

Ah, getting Gismor's "Fuck you" Longsword again is going to be a breeze. Not like I spent most of yesterday getting the remaining weapons levelled up and my comfort character to max level too was totally worth the pre-prep for Chapter 12.

And now to speedrun Chapter 5 so I can unlock City of Rust and the Citadel of Light. Because I want to stubbornly grind out Thief's Secret and Yaha's Staff.

Will probably speedrun Chapters 4 & 5, once I finally level up Moonlit Beauty (it's already at level 2, so yeah won't take long because I'm so good at the chain system.)

AKA I'm going back to nosleepville again.

Made a stupidly long queue on Spoitfy, just so I can get Manah and Urick up to Level 70.

This is my life now.

In other news, in Chapter 2 Verse 2 Legna got "intimate" with some poison spewing rocks. Over did the accelerate a little too much and that was the hilarious result of it.

Back on my love/hate relationship with Takamasa AKA the lose huge chunks of my health for victory. Longsword.

Yay.

Meanwhile, my knack for getting the most amusing screenshots whenever I hit pause. Never fails to make me laugh.

Meanwhile my method intentionally getting whoever I'm currently levelling up on DOD2 killed on Playthrough 2, just so I can level them up faster.

Never fails to work out so well.

Made Caim look stupid, because I cheesed Tornado's Eye it was glorious.
