I've seen a lot of hate aimed at this series in the wake of Super Mario Bros Wonder. Why? This was a great time. Fun levels, great environments, neat little touches dotted all over the shop.

Aside from a few later bullshit stages towards the end, I'd go as far to say that this is almost as fun as Super Mario World. I just had a really fun time playing it, and was really taken in by everything. I enjoyed this more than Wonder to be honest. An absolute joy for the most part.

Playing this game makes me happy. Until it makes me swear at the TV.
