Decided to try and go through as many Mario games as possible. Always a good time with the original. Though it always takes me a while to remember the pattern on those last couple of castles. Finished it with 2 seconds to spare.
If you're of a certain age, you might recall a NES sticker album. It had the Mario Bros 3 cover as the image for the book and packets of stickers etc. I had a good time collecting those stickers, and will always be as much a part of the nostalgia for me with this game, as much as actually playing it back in the day. Again, got heavy sticker book vibes playing this again. I only ever got to play it at my next door neighbours or my cousins house. I really wanted a NES, more than anything, so my dad bought me a Super Nintendo. Fair enough like, Mario World rules, but I sure would've loved a NES. Still would. I'll have to make do with Nintendo Switch Online, for now.
