Bio
Public fussing about the scores you assign to media is probably harming your relationship with art.

People like to rate media because it's easy, and it's nice to curate a list that reflects your identity, personality, and values. But the truth is you don't need scores to do any of this - all you need is some introspection and a pen.

Ask yourself - why do I assign numbers to media? If you have to stop and think about it, then I beg of you - next time you play a game you really love, instead of rating it, try writing about what it is that you love about it.

You don't have to publish it, you don't have to be good at writing, you don't have to write a lot. Just write. What you will get is a far more potent and fulfilling experience than rating could ever give you. It's the most expressive way of sorting out your feelings. Your writing becomes a memoir from your past self, ensuring that your emotions from that time will never die.

The score becomes redundant - the script explains itself.

Nothing screams Spiral Knights quite like standing in front of the auction house and spinning in a circle for four hours.

Good times. I miss this game.

From the mangled scissorbeaks of the land, from the cosmic vultures of the sky, from the mechanical krakens of the sea, I ran.

I ran to the top of the world and the bottom of the Earth, finding answers to questions I hadn't asked. Only here does the game subvert its namesake: there was no Rain.

Amazing.

Pokemon with a touch of heartfelt existentialism was the childhood I never knew I needed.

Irreplaceable.
