After four attempts to flesh out and understand what the Game Boy is capable of, the handheld Mega Man pentalogy comes to a close in high form with it's only original installment pitting the Blue Bomber against the mysterious Stardroids and the curtain call appearances of the Mega Man Killers. The level design, the music, the gameplay is all polished to a mirror sheen resulting in perhaps the most drastically underrated game in the franchise. For as good as 'Mega Man IV' was, it's hard to believe that Capcom still managed to do better. If nothing else, this game served as a wondrous foundation for Hitoshi Ariga to build his impressive two volume conclusion to the manga.
