Memoria is a point and click adventure game set in The Dark Eye universe and also a direct sequel to The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav. I would advice playing the latter first because the story is very important for the experience. Both games are also very similar and released only a year apart so if you like one of them chances are you'll like the other too.
As for the game itself, the presentation is once again excellent and there are some minor quality of life improvements over its predecessor like a journal which details the current objective and stores useful information.
There are many more fantastical elements this time around which means puzzles are a bit more nonsensical on average too, but it's nothing too bad if you have played the first game.
On a similar note, I think Geron's story was more relatable and he is also a more likable character than Sadja, but I believe that comes down to personal preference. The story is also told in a more interesting form this time around so that's pretty neat, it's hard to do a "story within a story" in a video game.
To conclude, I think Dark Eye: Memoria is a solid adventure game, even if you are unfamiliar with the Dark Eye universe.
