As someone who really likes the creature collector genre, I see the potential in this game, but its severely held back by a lack of unique direction. A lot of the Pals being derivative of existing Pokemon and the world looking like your average asset flip really get in the way of this being something special. I could even look past the lack of a narrative if the game just felt like it stood out more.
