This game rocks, but if you wanna start up the new doom games, definitely start with 2016, then go for Eternal. I did Eternal first and this game felt super slow because of it.

I also played Eternal first but I still thought this was one of the best games I ever played
It makes sense chandler, if you play eternal first you will most definitely miss the dash and cool level when playing 2016

That was my exact experience too. Eternal ruined me for other FPSes. But to be fair I do think that even standing on its own the 2016 remake is pretty dull; it doesn't really do anything new or interesting it's just another paint-by-numbers FPS.
yeah doom 16 impressed me when it came out but once you get to hell you've pretty much seen everything interesting that the game has to offer. generally feels more like one of those indie twitch reflex "metal inspired" shooters with the most sterile aesthetics possible
