Pacing by far one of the most grueling and painful I've ever experienced in a Pokémon game, from the HP bar to biking and surfing, everything felt tedious.
Diamond then goes ahead to further slow the game by adding in the most slowing obstacles of any generation: Supertall grass, Marsh Swamps, Snow Pits, and Fog.
Route 217's design was atrocious, a large patch of white with barely a tree visible in the superdeep snow and blizzard, no indication to wherever you're supposed to be heading in that area.
Platinum fixed a lot of the pacing issues, but Diamond was by far one of the most incredibly painful experiences I've ever had.

I'm not trans, but this game really gave me a look into a lot of the struggles someone might face, and how it can be detrimental emotionally and physically to their wellbeing to be faced with such hostility, simply for existing. Haru's heart meter going down every time she encounters a challenge to her identity is a HUGE indication to this, I could feel her pain through that being shown. The style is cute, and the many endings have a lot to offer as insight!
I adore Hustle Cat, the option to date both the girls and the guys, regardless of the pronouns or appearance you pick, is incredibly sweet. Nothing in the routes is locked behind a gender clause, and you can change pronouns at any point midgame if you wish. I personally go with She/Her the full way through, but each character's story is enticing and will make you fall in love with the cast. Avery Grey is an incredibly relatable protagonist for the modern day, too!
