The Unova region is rich in its relatively more modern, urban setting with ambitious camera work for the DS to emphasis larger scale. Similar to the previous generation, Generation 5 introduced a copious amount of fantastic Pokémon that were (mostly) awesome to use. The introduction of the dreamworld abilities allows for greater possibilities for team building for both casual and competitive play. Because of the aforementioned additions, the game was reasonable in its level scaling and difficulty. Due to focusing on the themes of self-identity and self-reflection for one’s actions, B/W was able to perfect the handling of multiple rivals, each with more fleshed out personalities and perspectives. It is also a contender for one of the best final boss fights within the franchise.
