Slow and boring

Just curious, how is it slow? Just because you have to collect a things before you can get past Mido? Because once you get past him, you're immediately thrown into a dungeon with enemies, puzzles and a boss. I don't really get that criticism at all. Also, you have Majora's Mask 3D as one of your favourite games, a remake that's know everywhere as inferior to the original, and Majora's Mask is definitely a slower game than OoT. Makes no sense.

I stopped playing in the Forest Temple as adult link (think it was called that), I already completed Ocarina 3D so I don't really feel too much of a need to ever complete this version. Other than the dialogue being too slow for my liking I actually don't have any problems up until you leave the forest.
I don't see what liking the Majora's Mask remake has anything to do with this review, I'm still going to try and play through Majora's Mask N64 at some point (only played a small portion of it so far), but from what I can tell, I'll probably still like the 3ds one more. I just think Majora's Mask improved on all the good aspects of Ocarina of Time and fixed a lot of the bad aspects.

I have more problems with Ocarina than it being slow, but that's the reason I stopped playing this version. One of the main parts that made me lose interest were the slow dialogue. Which especially early game with a lot of big info-dump sections is pretty boring. Other main annoyance is just link's walkspeed being slow, especially when stuff like Termina Field exists which is a massive empty area. I also don't particularly like the whole rolling/sidestepping to go faster mechanic because I find link grunting every 2 seconds while you slowly traverse the map to be annoying.
