Overall a great game, but has big issues with pacing and how it dishes out story and gameplay.

I loved the main cast and how normal in a sense they are. In persona 4 and 5 each characters really feel like extreme versions of their character archetypes and can only progress their own character arc with the help of the protagonist. I love the fact that the majority of the characters in the main group have to figure out their own problems by themselves and react like normal people would.

However I think the story suffers with weird pacing and unclear/bad motivations for characters. The story gives you 4 characters in the span of like one month i think its crazy how fast that was done. Also waiting about a month in game between each storybeat feel unsatisfying when the new story you get is a smaller or less important moment.

The music is probably the best in the franchise for me and I really liked the combat as well. I feel like tartarus can be bad if you do too much of it at once but I didn't find it that bad. I find it an interesting choice though to let the player decide how much they really want to do.

Overall a great game but if I'm being honest I felt like it was a bit overrated in the Fandom. It's great but has severe flaws from being the first "new-gen" perosna game. Social links are kind of bare bones in my opinion and I did not care for half of them as they weren't really relevant to the plot like in future entries in the series. Having 3 social links come from the track team and no social links for male team members is insane to me.
