Probably the single greatest adventure game I have played. No other game has actually made me feel like I was traveling a world and having wacky adventures with my friends like this one.

The story while entertaining is paced very weirdly though due to this and can lack a sense of urgency oftentimes. I did enjoy that though as it plays into the grand adventure in my opinion.

The last third of the game is a slog though. I feel like once I hit cosmo canyon I could feel the padding in the game start to take a toll on my enjoyment. The second last chapter is so ridiculously long compared to the others it's crazy and drags the ending out.

While the combat is fun there are times that I really didn't like it that much. The random encounters all play out the same and are so quick that i ened up just button mashing. Getting stun locked is a common occurrence and drives me insane. The ATB system is still incredibly unique and I like it more than I hate it but against some bosses and enemies it can be really frustrating.

Top 3 music in a video game all time for me and I loved all the mini games but I get why some people may not.

Overall a great game, but has big issues with pacing and how it dishes out story and gameplay.

I loved the main cast and how normal in a sense they are. In persona 4 and 5 each characters really feel like extreme versions of their character archetypes and can only progress their own character arc with the help of the protagonist. I love the fact that the majority of the characters in the main group have to figure out their own problems by themselves and react like normal people would.

However I think the story suffers with weird pacing and unclear/bad motivations for characters. The story gives you 4 characters in the span of like one month i think its crazy how fast that was done. Also waiting about a month in game between each storybeat feel unsatisfying when the new story you get is a smaller or less important moment.

The music is probably the best in the franchise for me and I really liked the combat as well. I feel like tartarus can be bad if you do too much of it at once but I didn't find it that bad. I find it an interesting choice though to let the player decide how much they really want to do.

Overall a great game but if I'm being honest I felt like it was a bit overrated in the Fandom. It's great but has severe flaws from being the first "new-gen" perosna game. Social links are kind of bare bones in my opinion and I did not care for half of them as they weren't really relevant to the plot like in future entries in the series. Having 3 social links come from the track team and no social links for male team members is insane to me.

My favorite game of all time. It's crazy to me that a game with this much content and style and all around polish can exist considering its size. Of course there are some issues with gameplay, pacing, and story but I'm not sure a 100 hour game can be made without some flaws.
