This game is pure unadultered fun. The camera is not ideal but once you get used to it, it becomes second nature.

What's brilliant about this game is the openness of it. No other Mario game, until Odyssey, provides the freedom to grab Stars at your pace or in your order. In the context of modern open-world games, this one was ahead of its time. Mario handles beautifully with a vast array of moves he will never get again. The levels are all ingeniously designed and even the smallest areas share a plethora of secrets. Just a blast to play and I will come back to it for years to come.
