This game is a fun celebration of Sonics 2o years (at the time) in gaming. Having played the blue burr since the Genesis days and all the games that followed, I was excited. The game is fun even still the levels and sound design is excellent. You get to play two different styles with each different style being a different act. Act 1 has you play as classic Sonic in a classic 2d style and act 2 has you playing as modern Sonic in more 3d boost filled levels. The story is pretty bleh and the writing is ok. But you don’t play Sonic for either of those things. So you get a nice package of fun levels, collectible content, and missions. The game does feel quite short though and I wish they added more dlc. I don’t why they didn’t remix other levels for the series as dlc they would’ve made a killing but oh well. Thank God for the modding community. This game is often on sale for like 5 bucks on steam. Pick it up. It’s worth checking out.
