Mass effect was an ok start for the series but felt dated pretty quickly. This game decided to kick it up a notch and it is fantastic. The game starts out with one of the craziest intros I’ve seen to a game and sets the stage for the threat to come. Things have been a little more stream lined in term of rpg mechanics and weapons mechanics but in this case it works. The music sets the mood perfectly and the new characters added are great. All full of personality and charm. Watching your choices from mass effect 1 carry over is interesting but not as relevant as I thought it would be. This game is full of action and surprises especially towards the end. Your consequences will definitely be felt into the next game. It’s a perfect sequel and great game.
