A very solid JRPG remake. Nails the second act twist like all the classics, and the pacing falls apart in the second act like all the classic coughs FF6 coughs. The 2.5D combat starts compelling at first, but as the game goes it just falls apart into just visual chaos. The main appeal of this game is all the dozens and dozens of private actions and individual skills between all the party members. Chasing these cute, characterable moments became what I looked forward to the most.
