Solid little first outing for an animation studio turned game developer.

Kena is clearly a Zelda inspired game, although it does a lot to set itself apart. There’s some decent mechanics throughout that make puzzling and exploring engaging.

The combat system is serviceable enough, though the bosses stuck out as being especially enjoyable. Throughout the game I felt that enemies did slightly too much damage, and there’s only ever 2-3 heals per arena. Didn’t really feel challenging in a good way, and made you focus on survival which I feel hurt the combat here.

The story was ok, didn’t really resonate with me.

Overall decent game, not really a whole lot to write home about imo.
