This is the best example of storytelling through gameplay I've ever seen.

This is hands down my favourite snes game and fire emblem game, it's a very unique game in the series from being so grand in a gameplay sense and having so much customization that each playthrough can be very diverse. part 1 has 3 maps with good design, but part 2 has a lot of rough moments and I can't really name a chapter that was really fun on its own merits like the amazing prologue of part 1, However, I do feel like how powerful the part 2 units are can help that a lot especially the handful of units you always get no matter what you do in part 1. I also love what the units/cast in part 2 are and what they represent, as well as great character pay-off moments, This game has great politics and it has some of the best huge moments in the series and world building over the game but I feel like the characters and storytelling are lacking depth outside of their introduction but I can forgive it because to me most snes jrpgs and are very focused on story telling through the gameplay. this can be quite a boon because FE4 will tell you important information pretty fast and it slows down too when it needs to and lets its moments happen. A single cutscene in a castle can change the mood of a chapter, you just don't gotta suffer through hours of dialogue to tell you something basic. Also, the music is fire.

the first time I ever played it I was utterly blown away and it holds a special place in my heart, PLEASE REMAKE IT NEXTTTTT!!!!!!!! and flesh out the characters a bit more :eyes:
