This game is a great little "sequel" to the first Spider-Man, although it feels more like a Spinoff. As many others have pointed out, this game is relatively short story-wise, but I do think it has the right length for the story it wants to tell. Also, while I did most of the sidequests, I didn't do any of the collecting or even most of the upgrading, because I mostly played this as preparation for Spider-Man 2. So if you like to spend more time with this game, you definitely can! There also is a New Game+ oder just the possibility to play on a harder difficulty.

The game manages to give Miles a lot of character development in a short period of time and it doesn't feel rushed or forced. The game balances Action and Emotion very well. While the story borrows a lot from older Spider-Man stories and doesn'r really do anything new or fresh, it does work and you do get invested with the old and new cast of characters.

The gameplay is really fun just like it was in the first game, some stuff even a little more fun. If you liked the combat and/or swinging in the first game you will love it here. They really managed to make Miles feel like "the other" Spider-Man instead of just putting him in a different looking suit but keep the rest the same.

Overall I enjoyed this very much and only take off a little bit of the rating because of the predictable story.
