Watched my dad and uncle play each other in this on an arcade machine and were both really high off edibles. Ahh good times.

Loved this game and this series, it can be highly difficult at times, especially in regards to the final boss. Wish they still made games like this with their horror style and music and graphical atmosphere. Never forget the Michael Jackson Kraken!

Bloober Team? More like Blooper Team since this game was nothing but a joke. Never have I been so let down and bored out of my mind with a horror game. Disappointment city, population me dude!

It is still scary at times and very spooky with the binaural audio when wearing headphones, however it drags itself by branching off into other short stories and isn't much of a sequel the most important scenes that actually continue the story are literally at the end of the game. Not a great sequel, unless you are a die-hard fan itching for more lore and whatnot.

Great game, the ghost calling out saying "Juuuubeeiiiiiii.....JUUUUbeeeeiiiii" has never left my mind.

One of the most ass bullshirt designed games, was a cool concept though. Ruined by the unfair gameplay I don't know how anybody could beat this without cheats. I used save state for the final boss and still had to save over 100 times during the fight just to beat the boss! Maybe im just shit at the game, still felt way too unfair.

More like Book of Mammaries, Konami can suck my Teets for this abomination.

Not too bad, pretty fun to play. However, I remember there being less content then the original one for snes.

I remember watching my uncle play this when I was way younger and after playing it for myself, it was quite an interesting playthrough, I can see it was gruesome, but not necessarily a "scary" game I did enjoy the gameplay a good bit. I honestly feel as though the game dragged on a little bit too long for my taste with what was offered. Still a fun playthrough for fans of these types of games and I'm looking forward to see how the sequel holds up. Neat last boss fight too!

Pretty fun game, kinda like to imagine this is what Lego Ninja Gaiden would be. Kinda similar to crash bandicoot and super mario 64 with a ninja spin on it. Hi Yah!

Truly a good sequel to the original installment. I loved all the little quality of life changes and playing through each chapter grabbed my attention and kept me wanting to find out what happened next. Of course, the game did have a few issues and I didn't like how there aren't really no checkpoints and if you forgot to save you kind of got screwed. The last boss was a bit of a "Payne" too. (Heh Heh, see what I did there). One thing that bothered me was the enemies would always be shouting "BAM!! BAM!!" I guess they were practicing with their guns for when they would run into me. Damn fine game, definitely would recommend it.

Had gotten this game for my birthday two years ago and just now was able to play and complete it in the past week. This one was a doozy. To be honest, the dungeon crawling and combat become very repetitive and monotonous, however even with the added party members and special moves you can learn and chain together I often found myself just running through a bunch of areas to see what would happen next. The dungeon layout and gameplay seem like something that would fit a psvita title. However where this game really shines is the art and the characters as well as the story. Wasn't expecting this to be a jrpg in regards to the length, even so, the story and events that kept occurring were enough to keep me invested. At first, I was almost ready to toss this to the side, but I'm glad I stuck with it. Sen is best girl! Holler if you hear me!!

Wow I can't believe I played the whole thing!- Jack Nicholson's voice.

This game was quite disappointing and the type of game you can get bored and burn out on very quickly. Started playing with a friend which made it more bearable for a few parts. Tried to do these repetitive side quests for the first 2 Acts and completely just said fuck it and started running through main quests only to finish the game. Worse thing is when you try to get through a game and ready for it to end and it just drags on and on and on. Cutscenes were pretty comical looking though. Glad im done with it and honestly hope Dead Island 2 will be way better. I did like how the environment was changing every once in awhile unlike when I played Dying Light and just saw the slums 24/7. All-in-all, you can clean a turd all you want, but a turd is still a turd.

2020

Finished this one this morning and the thoughts of it still linger in my mind. This game was nothing short of a rollercoaster of emotions and the disclaimer at the beginning of booting the game definitely threw me for a loop as I didn't think it would go that deep about the subject matter. I've played a lot of games up to now, but this one regarding its storytelling has become one of my favorites. From laughing out loud while talking to NPCs in Sweetheart's castle to the chilling pit of my stomach close to the end after going through the deep end well and into Black Space. Some parts do drag on a little bit, exploring places in the headspace can be interesting and the gameplay is nothing amazing, however, in the latter half, the twists and turns and subject matter it throws at you stick with you. You truly get attached to these characters and as the story unfolds you truly want to race to see what happens next. Certainly cannot recommend this game enough for the jrpg fans and ones who enjoy a good storytelling experience. Looking forward to seeing what this indie developer does in the future!
