The graphics were fucking great, and the controls are tight and precise as usual. Also introduces us to Yoshi, the best character in the franchise. Great platforming, and the bossfights take a huge step in this entry. I wasn't crazy about the controls, but got used to it by the end of the 2nd world. I can fully see why Mario captivated everyone back then. This coming out in 1990 is wild to me.
