One of the most special games I've ever played. It's such a black sheep in its franchise too. The time loop structure allows you to impact the world in a different way with every loop, and do it again if you so choose. What I find so special about it is the writing, though. Watching the residents of Termina deal with grief and dread in completely different ways is heartbreaking and englightening in some cases. The plot and atmosphere is dark and eerie, like the land itself is cursing you. If it weren't for the gameplay improvements of the remake, I'd say that the original is better purely for the murky character models making the atmosphere that much creeiper.
