Is it just me or does this game feel really cozy for a game about nuclear weapons? I find that it makes me feel so nostalgic and warm, probably because of its now retro aesthetic.

Metal Gear Solid is a classic for a reason. The story is as contrived as they come, but what makes Metal Gear Solid a classic is the soulful characters, the charming sound design and music, and the fun stealth gameplay. The stealth takes a backseat to the setpieces after the first half, sadly, but it's still a solid game (pardon the pun).

I can't wait to play the sequels.
