Review in progress:
Celeste has honestly knocked this down a few pegs (as far as challenging 2D platformers go), but it's still pretty good.

The level design is solid, but not particularly ambitious. The bite-sized nature of levels allows for the challenge to feel bit more digestible. It's still very hard, though.

The lack of variety makes Super Meat Boy feel repetitive by the end. All of the levels start to blend together. Having such a limited moveset is probably part of the problem.

The simon says boss is poorly designed. The other bosses are very forgettable and there isn't enough to distinguish them from the regular stages.

Exploration/secret hunting is nearly nonexistent. I like to have that in platformers.

The soundtrack is really good and the visuals are solid in-game. The cutscenes look ghetto as hell, even when considering that this is an indie game. It's honestly a bit distracting.
