Criticisms of Metroid Dread veer between the harsh difficulty and complicated controls, and while it's true that the game doesn't baby you through the more aggressive sections, the controls soon start to become second nature, rewarding you with a rather intuitive design that you find yourself slipping into the longer you play. The exception for me is probably the super dash, whose tying to the left stick felt a touch awkward. As for the game, it's beautiful, the story stunning, 'nuff said.
