While its predecessor, 1997's Fallout is a tighter, more atmospheric experience -- preferable to play when wanting a shorter, but better paced game -- Fallout 2 is, for better but also at times for worse, wider and filled with even more content. Due in part to the much larger world map dotted with locations both found in Fallout and completely new ones that, in turn, are filled with characters new and old with their own stories and interactions.

If you love the original but want more quests, more characters, more story, more locations, well, Fallout 2 is exactly that.
