Shadow of the Erdtree suffers from many of the same problems the base game did and depending on who you ask they might be even worse here. However I have to give credit where it is due, as this is a more focused and in some areas, refined experience than the base game that still unfortunately leaves me with this anti-climactic and frankly empty feeling upon completion (and not in a good way).

The biggest positive I can give is that Messmer is the best Elden Ring boss by far and the only one in ER that I would put next to the other fromsoft greats.

On the negative side, the world still feels inflated, the quality is all over the place, pretty much every Legacy Dungeon feels underused (except Shadow Keep) , and other than Messmer,Rellana,Midra and Bayle the other rememberance fights feel like second thoughts.

Overall if you love Elden Ring you will love this, if you expected something more substantial and different you might be a little disappointed. Or really disappointed. Depends on how much time you waste on easily the most artifically inflated and underwhelming fromsoft boss fight that is also used as the supposed grand finale to Elden Ring. But regardless, while not the pinnacle of anything Shadow of the Erdtree still shows us that Fromsoft can provide a solid and unique gaming experience.

Oh and also the PC version never got fixed and the DLC made the issues significantly worse. It is very much unfortunate how FROMSOFT seem to be ignoring the technical issues altogether.

Devil May Cry 3's action and style are only matched by its heart and influence on the action game genre. Mixing the SSStylish combo of expressive, aggressive and absolutely addictive combat with its bombastic, well developed cast and its classic, heartfelt story, has made Dante's Awakening a timeless gem for any action fan and my favorite game of all time.

In other words... I'm absolutely crazy about it!!
