What is really great about this serie is how they are able to reinvent the same power and always giving some twists to it. Blink, Far Reach and Displace all share the same utility which is teleportation but none of them are the same and I think this is quite impressive. I wonder what twist they would find if they made a Dishonored 3.
Something else can be said about the evolution of the serie. It's that how focused on stealth and low chaos it became over the time and the games. 2 was already more non-lethal friendly than 1 was but this time the game almost yells at you to play non-lethal by giving you more non-lethal equipements and powers than in the previous games. It's also the hardest game to stealth in my opinion and that's why the game gives you more powers to stay unoticed by your opponents. A great add is also getting rid of the mana consuming and replacing it by a reloading time. Often in DH1 and 2 I got myself exposed because I was using my mana with too much parsimony. So it's a very welcome feature that is not unbalanced at all.
The game is great even though it's crystal clear that it's more like a DLC from the second game than a game in itself. You can see that in the fact that you only have 3 real new levels throughout the 5 missions, one appering twice and one being from Dishonored 2. But they still managed to make a pretty good job ! It's more similar to the Knife of Dunwall than a major game with the game being straight to the point and I like that.
About the level design, it's like the previous ones, absolutely goated. There is not much to say more than what has been said over Dishonored 1 and 2 except that I think those levels have the best settings of the franchise. And that's especially thanks to the bank robbery I really loved this place !
Story-wise the game is also great even though it's straight to the point and that might be a lot thanks to the low chaos good ending.
If anyone is wondering if they should give it a try or no, it's a great yes for me ! I loved playing it while doing my Dishonored retrospection and the title is not made to be skipped !
