Pretty much everything about this game is great.
There are only really 3 things I'd complain about:
The combat system, while fun and really fleshed out, can take a long time to beat even just regular enemies. Which over the course of a really long game, makes it drag a little bit.
The field skills. They're just really annoying to deal with.
And third, the very end of the story does something very dumb.
Ultimately though, I wouldn't say any of those ruin the game by any means. There is so much amazing stuff in this game, from the story as a whole, to the tons of extra content, to the great graphics and amazing soundtrack, to the insane amount of world building... It's just such a fun experience.
Also the characters! There genuinely isn't a single character I dislike in this game. They're all so well fleshed out and they've got great designs. I love this game.
