This had, for the most part, what I initially wanted from base campaign of Xenoblade 3: A sequel story in line with the established wider lore of the trilogy. And for the most part it succeeds. Like base Xenoblade 3 it's more about reaffirming the themes of the games before it, and despite it taking place before the events of 3, it works really well as a send-off to the series as it currently stands. Future Awaits hit me like a damn truck when it started playing.
