Finally got around to playing the main campaign instead of dicking around and giving my troops elaborate backstories. Ended up hitting the RNG dice roll of death when my sniper missed three 95% shots in a row early in the game and had the realization that Firaxis will personally see to it that I never beat an XCOM in Ironman Mode.
