A lot more fun than Ys I, movement overall feels more responsive and the Fire Magic does a lot to improve the clunky combat. Dungeon design is pretty good, even though they're all mazes it's still fun to go through all of them, the music helps a lot too. Framerate is even more inconsistent than in the first game though, and A LOT of the time here is spent grinding, which is not fun.
