I commend it for getting me into JRPGs and dungeon crawlers but the gameplay and pace doesn't hold up well in its time and today. Story is fine.

so true huss. also, you make a point that P3's gameplay is "dated" (which is such a milquetoast critique almost everyone is parroting it), which makes people assume such game design was fine in 2006. no, it wasn't. ff12 and vp2 were a thing back then too, and you didn't like p3's mechanics in 2023 you wouldn't have liked it in 2006 too. word your critique better, like "mechanics suck ass because of x and y" not "mechanics suck ass cuz they're dated"
