A rare good 40k game. Xcom-like strategy game with tons of unique mechanics and fresh ideas to it that all fit the narrative and setting to a tee, the dialogue and narrative events are well written and great to see the ad-mech represented properly for the first time in a 40k game, having the different sub-factions represented within too was great. Visual diversity between enemies and areas is pretty good but would've like to see more mechanical diversity across those too. Pretty much every enemy you just shoot till it dies without having to think about their mechanics (apart from the lychguard). Bosses all feel great and unique. The normal missions get quite repetitive after about halfway through the game, where it does feel like a slog to get through them. All in all a solid strategy game with a lot of fresh unique ideas that are tied to a well written narrative in the gigantic 40k universe but some problems.
