A short half dull half fun game. Playing as Miles is not as interesting as playing as Peter and his story throughout the game is not very interesting and the pacing is all over the place. This is showcased when Miles gets back from a fight and his Mother finds out he is Spider-Man the scene cuts to black and he explains it all to her off screen making this whole moment hold no weight and it rarely comes up again. The web slinging from the first game is better than ever as Miles has electric abilities allowing him to zip through the air allowing for faster paced travel which is very satisfying. Miles' electric abilities also effect combat and the combat is better off because of this. He can also turn invisible allowing you to fuck around with enemies in fun ways. These additions to the combat make it more enjoyable however this unfortunately does not stop the combat from becoming repetitive and easy. Very easy. I was playing on the hardest difficulty and only felt challenged during the final boss and even that was still rather trivial but definitely is a step in the right direction that is hopefully implemented into Spider-Man 2. Besides the main story you can also do side missions and collectibles. The side missions are actually very good while the collectibles are just okay but neither take away from the main experience like the first game. Overall a solid game for the PS5 but does feel more like a glorified DLC and definetly worked better as one.
