Wow... I feel like the fucking terminator in this game, literally unstoppable force against the damn villagers.

This review contains spoilers

This game encapsulates what the first brought to the table, and only amplified it. The addition of Miles as a playable hero, smooth and sleek combat, even faster swinging and gliding, the bosses are even more difficult, and it really makes you feel like you are Spider-Man. While the story is not as emotional, or "sad" as the previous title, or titles, it does not mean it is any worse. The story is jam packed with action, dramatic boom after boom, something that would come straight out of a comic book, and it does not completely take away from the emotions, such as the fight between Scream (MJ) and Peter, fighting to get MJ back while simultaneously realizing what Peter has done, Miles' conflict with Li and his late father, Peter realizing that he might have to kill his best friend Harry to save the world, and when he eventually dies, it takes a toll not only on him, but on Harry's father, foreshadowing what is to come. Overall masterpiece of a game, and I would even say is the greatest super hero game of all time, the only game that comes close is Batman Arkham City.

This game filled that part of my inner childhood, aspiring to be a hero such as Spider-Man. The emotional roller-coaster that this game put me through, especially towards the end, really put me in the shoes of the web slinger. The combat and stealth is simple yet effective, the traversal is like no other, the characters as well as their development is great, even 6 years after the release, this title still holds up.
