I'm not very good at this game, but that doesn't stop me from adoring it. I own it on three different platforms, have at least a hundred hours into across them, and still cannot win a run on anything but the easiest difficulty.
And yet I still love it, and play every chance I get. What can I say? I'm a sucker for roguelikes, deck-builders, and roguelike deck-builders.
Slay The Spire manages to be a very complex game without ever feeling overwhelming. And while the encounters are very tough, they never feel unfair. Every loss is my own fault.
If you have ever enjoyed a strategy game, or a deck-builder, or a roguelike, just... check this one out, please.
Final score: 10/10 there's a Worm reference
