The aestetics, art style, music, and gameplay are some of the most creative i have ever seen and it really is genius. The gameplay loop is deeply satisfying and the feeling of growth with every item gives constant dopamine and the search for the presents provide a fun challange. For the bad while the controls for the katamari are innovative and fun the way the katamari sometimes interacts or get stuck on the enviroments and the boost waggeling of the control sticks feels a bit clunky and feels like it can halt your pace while you are on a roll. The star sign stages are fun with different objectives however more diverse objectives or more than three maps for the entire game would have gone a long way for varietys sake. In generall a great game overshadowed by its severly underrated sequel.
