Ff7 is a very special game to me. It was one of my first turn based rpgs and was the game to show me how good storytelling in games can be. In left a mark on my gaming taste since that initial play through in 2017.
However since then I have expanded my pallet a lot more and know now my taste in the genre and I’m able to look at this game more critically. I think the gameplay has a lot of choices I personally don’t like. From how long animations and battles can take, to the atb system and how many mini games thier are. It’s just things I didn’t enjoy this time around.
However the story is still just as fantastic as ever and it becomes a must play because of that alone. It’s sooooo goooddd
It’s weird because although I would give it 4 stars it probably still in my top 25 games. Over games I would rank 5stars. Simply because of its impact of me. It’s not my go to game for the gameplay but everything else is something special that not many games have.
