A good ps1 horror. The main reason you'd play this is for the atmosphere. It's out of this world. It's really good. It's like really cool.

The gameplay is basically checking every nook and cranny of the map for items and then finding whatever weird use case the item has, like a point-and-click game. It's also spooky. oo.

Needs another playthrough from me.

A tick away from being a serious gem, though I wouldn't punch anyone in the face who said it was. By far the best game in the trilogy, absolutely no contest for me.

Breakneck action movie pacing with the over the top, eye roll lines from Max that were present in MP1 and unfortunately absent in MP2. The story is a real page turner. I mean that. Max is working for rich people in Brazil, rich people bad. It's very deep. There are moments where the writing is stupid but I mean who cares pew pew pew!! Super engaging from start to finish.

The Max Payne slow-mo gameplay is at it's best here, but I wish they let you regularly enter bullet time as much as they did in MP2. The challenge is basically seeing how many kills you can get in a single dive, which is pretty intense. Makes me feel like John Wick.
